Dr Scott Simpson

Dr Scott Simpson
Scott was the second ever Intern at Alice Springs Hospital, intent on becoming a Rural Generalist. Instead, he fell under the spell of Anaesthetics before getting caught in the web of Paediatric Intensive Care. His subsequent career reflects the inherent conflicts of maintaining specialist skills while heeding a strong call to practise in rural and regional Australia. After some success developing PICU services in Townsville and Geelong, and a brief foray into paediatric retrieval in SA, he has returned to Alice Springs as a Rural Intensivist. His hobbies are cycling, sea kayaking, farm forestry, and viticulture.
