Dr Dowler is a general Paediatrician and the Director of Paediatrics at Alice Springs Hospital and has been working in Central Australia since 2015 following training through the Women’s and Children’s Health Network in Adelaide. He has taken particular interest in the challenges of emerging chronic diseases in Central Australia and the social determinants that create the health gap. Recently he has been impassioned by witnessing the challenges of vulnerable children trying to gain access to tertiary healthcare and the plight of their families to navigate health systems not designed for them.
