After having completed his internal medicine residency, Dr Antoine Herpain has been trained by Pr Jean-Louis Vincent et Pr Daniel De Backer in the intensive care unit of the CHU Erasme Hospital (Brussels); where he is now in charge of the transient mechanical circulatory support and acute cardiac cares supervision. In addition to his clinical investments, he is also leading several doctoral projects on experimental investigations with large animal models of septic and cardiogenic shocks in the Experimental Laboratory of Intensive Care from the Université Libre de Bruxelles.
