Dr Shyamala Sriram

Dr Shyamala Sriram is the Deputy Director and Educational lead at the Royal Melbourne Hospital Intensive Care. Dr Sriram has a keen interest in education, training and trainee welfare. She is an examiner for the second part CICM examination and is a member of the Examination Committee. As a passionate teacher and constant learner, she has a vision to transform the landscape of medical education and training to a rewarding positive experience that is less stressful and arduous for learners. She has completed her ‘Masters in Bioethics’ from Monash university and ‘Graduate Certificate in University Teaching’ from University of Melbourne. For over a decade she has closely liaised with the neurology team and was instrumental in establishing the Neuro Critical Care meetings at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Shyamala strongly believes in diversity, equity and being inclusive. She enjoys Indian dancing, Indian semi-classical music, gardening and cooking.
