Catherine Simpson

Catherine has been a doctor for more than 35 years, and just saying that makes her feel tired. After working as a FACEM she became an Intensivist (FFICANZCA) in 2001, and has been pretty happy overall, even with her evil temper. She has held various roles working in ICU at Middlemore Hospital in Auckland, and more recently has split work with Waikato ICU. Over the years she has met several grumpy or scary Intensivists, but luckily there have been many more happy and motivated colleagues. Most days she can be found drinking coffee and telling long stories, which are on occasion true.
