CPD

CPD

The Medical Board of Australia (MBA) and Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) specialist registration standards require all practising doctors to complete 50 hours of continuing professional development (CPD) annually, relevant to your scope of practice. Attendance at the CICM 2024 ASM and satellite events counts towards fulfilling your CPD requirements under the Educational Activities category. Additionally, the program offers the depth and breadth of content to cover the program-level requirements of addressing health inequities, professionalism, and ethical practice. CICM CPD participants will need to record their hours of attendance in their CPD diary and upload the certificate of attendance as proof. The number of hours claimed will depend on how many sessions attended.

  • For the ICU Update you can claim up to 7.5 hours for CPD.
  • For the Critical Care Ultrasound Symposium, you can claim up to 7.75 hours for CPD.
  • For the ASM you can claim up to 22 hours for CPD.
