Bundjalung Kunjiel is a world travelled troupe presenting Aboriginal culture through song and dance whilst representing their local homelands of the Kombumerri and Minjungbal tribes. (the Gold Coast and Tweed Heads regions). Goompi who is the troupe’s song man, formed the group over 20 years ago. He has practiced culture himself for close to 30 years through song and dance, Aboriginal art and living and breathing cultural ways daily. Gaining all his knowledge from older knowledge holders and culture men. “Bundjalung Kunjiel” has presented locally and interstate at events for community, festivals, and private functions. In the last 10 years the troupe toured 8 different countries. Some highlights. -presenting the war dance at 2012 NRL Allstars game. -the Steve Irwin Gala Dinner is Beverly Hills in 2017, 2019, 2023 and 2024 at Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. -various high-profile events in Las Vegas, Nevada. -The Joshua Tree Festival in California and much more.
