Dr Arne Diehl, MD FACEM FCICM DDU Arne is an Intensive Care Specialist at The Alfred Hospital, Melbourne. His specific research and clinical interest are in Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation [ECMO]. Since he completed the inaugural ECMO fellowship at The Alfred he has been deeply involved in clinical development of the service. He co-convenes the ECMO cannulation course and edits the Alfred ECMO guideline www.ecmo.icu. He completed a research doctorate and worked in diverse health care systems in Germany, UK and Brazil before moving to Australia in 2006. In addition to Intensive Care he is an Emergency Medicine Specialist and holds a DDU in critical care echocardiography
