Dr Eliana Close is a Senior Research Fellow at the Australian Centre for Health Law Research at QUT. Eliana specializes in socio-legal research targeting the evolving landscape of end-of-life care. Her interests include critical care decision making, healthcare rationing, and voluntary assisted dying. Eliana serves on the Clinical Ethics Consultation Service at the Queensland Children’s Hospital and is involved in several legal education projects including the Commonwealth Department of Health funded End-of-Life Law for Clinicians program, and voluntary assisted dying training programs for practitioners in Victoria, Western Australia, and Queensland. Before QUT, Eliana worked as a Crown Prosecutor in Canada.
