Dr Kylie Julian, FANZCA, FCICM Kylie is an intensivist in the Department of Critical Care Medicine at Te Toka Tumai Auckland. She is interested in the wellbeing and experiences of all who come together in intensive care: patients, their families/whanau and intensive care teams. Kylie is the medical lead of followup teams in the Department of Critical Care Medicine. These teams engage with patients who survive critical illness, and the bereaved families/whanau of those who do not. She has an interest in training and mentoring. She has established a mentoring programme for trainees in the Auckland region. She convenes the Auckland Part One exam preparation course and was part of a team who established the 'Intensive Care Part 3 course', which aims to help senior trainees thrive as they make the transition into specialist life. Outside of work she is an enthusiastic, if haphazard, gardener
