Dr Simon Erickson

Simon Erickson is a specialist in paediatric critical care, serving as the Head of Department at Perth Children’s Hospital, Western Australia, with additional appointments at Monash Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, Victoria, and the Sydney Health Network ECMO Transport Service (KERS). His significant contributions extend to academia as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Western Australia. Simon’s expertise and leadership roles encompass various facets of paediatric critical care, including his involvement in national committees such as the National Covid-19 Evidence Taskforce and the Child and Adolescent Health Service Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC). He has also been involved for many years in outreach cardiac surgical programmes in Papua New Guinea and Tanzania with Open Heart International. With a stellar track record in both clinical practice and research, Simon has made substantial impacts in paediatric critical care over the past years.
