Dr Simon Iles

Simon is a New Zealand born, Australian trained intensivist and infectious diseases physician, completing training at the Alfred Hospital and Royal Melbourne Hospitals. He is currently employed as an intensivist at Royal Melbourne Hospital where his passion is improving outcomes in critically unwell patients with sepsis. Other clinical interests include supervision and welfare, education and story telling, the latter of which has extended the duration of his ICU ward round significantly. Other passions include the Richmond football club, champagne and a goal to ascend Mount Everest before he is too old.
