Michelle Simmons

My name is Michelle Simmons (nee Stanley). I am a proud Wakka Wakka Aboriginal woman from Cherbourg, Queensland. I have lived and worked in urban, rural and remote settings predominately in South Australia and the Northern Territory. My background is teacher trained, leadership, Aboriginal Community Controlled Health, University lecturer, programme coordinator, Alcohol and Other Drug facilitator and am a qualified Vocational Educational Teacher to name a few of my proud achievements. I have a long standing with Human Resource Ethics, Reconciliation and Human Rights and Advocacy. I am currently a Lecturer in Indigenous Knowledge and Culture at Flinders University based in Alice Springs
