Professor Konstantin (Stan) Yastrebov

Dr Yastrebov is a Senior Specialist in Intensive Care at Prince of Wales Hospital and Conjoined Professor at the UNSW in Sydney. He is one of the pioneers of critical care echocardiography (CCE) in Australia and is currently a Chair of Expert Advisory Committee on Ultrasonography for CICM, and a supervisor of basic and advanced training for ASUM and EDEC (ESICM). Stan received training in Anaesthesia, Intensive care and Echocardiography in USSR, USA, UK and Australia, having over 35-years’ clinical and research experience, organized countless conferences, training courses, and lectured around the World. He completed PhD on CCE in 1998, authored two books as well as multiple chapters and scientific papers on Transthoracic, Transoesophageal and Intracardiac CCE. He served as a Director of ANZICS and an inaugural Chair of USIG CICM.
