Simon Quilty

Simon Quilty
Simon Quilty is a General Physician who has spent most of his professional career as a physician in remote Northern Territory. He started the first ever specialist led service in the Katherine region, the poorest in Australia with a population of 24,000 people dispersed across tropical savannahland 50% larger than the whole of Victoria. He is moving on from the medical profession to work with Wumpurrarni people in Tennant Creek to help facilitate community-led solutions using his cross-cultural knowledge of whitefella and blackfella universes, and his strong sense that having fun is a very good thermometer of investing in the Right Way. He is not totally abandoning medicine though - he remains the Medical Advisor for Purple House where lots of fun is also had, a Pintupi-led remote health service that provides renal dialysis in twenty very remote communities in northern and central Australia.
