Susie is a Rural Generalist working at Tennant Creek Hospital and the remote community of Lake Nash. She enjoys her work in Tennant Creek Hospital, which sometimes involves stabilising critically ill patients prior to retrieval. In Lake Nash she does primary health care with the aim of keeping patients out of intensive care units. Susie did most of her training in Alice Springs including 12 months in the Intensive Care Unit. She considers the intensivists in Alice Springs to be among the most important mentors in her career. Having a good working relationship with the unit is vital for ensuring safe care of patients in Tennant Creek.
